Rita Overzat Founded The RJM Group in 2001 at the peak of her career, as a major-label fashion executive, entrepreneurial inspiration struck. She created The RJM Group to provide emerging brands with a voice, and it is the mission that forms the foundation of the firm’s business. Before the inception of The RJM Group, Rita acted as Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Helen Sorel, National Director of Sales and Marketing for Accessories at Badgley Mischka, Vice President of Sales at Trussardi NA, and Director of Fifth Avenue Club at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Rita regularly lectures, in the showroom and on campus at New York City’s prestigious design schools on the basics of brand development. As a member of several local, national and international industry organizations, including the Fashion Group International, The Accessories Council and The Fashion Footwear Association of New York, she helps to set standards and foster entrepreneurial creativity on an influential stage.
The fruits of Rita’s product development and design talents adorn many stylish women, and The RJM Group’s showroom, via the Beirn Collection – an accessories brand launched in collaboration with her daughters in 2007.
